Analyse your company: Compensation

Ravio’s ‘Analyse your company’ section provides an internal view of your employee data, allowing you to compare current salaries against market benchmarks. This guide explains how to navigate the compensation dashboard, adjust market targets, and filter data for deeper analysis.

Overview

The compensation dashboard gives you a clear picture of how your team’s pay compares to the market. By mapping your internal roles to the Ravio taxonomy, you can see real-time market differences for every employee.

Prerequisites

  • Permission level: Admin or People team access.

  • Data needed: Employee salary data synced from your HRIS (Human Resources Information System).

  • Integration status: Active HRIS integration or recent CSV upload.

Step-by-step instructions

Step 1: Access the compensation dashboard

To view your internal data, you must navigate to the correct analysis module.

  1. Navigate to Analyse your company > Compensation in the left-hand sidebar.

  2. You will see a list of employees, showing their base salary, market target, and the market difference.

Step 2: Review individual employee mapping

You can dive deeper into how an individual’s pay is calculated.

Click the arrow next to an employee’s name to expand their details

Review the three sections of data:

  • Role: The job title and level pulled from your HRIS.

  • Ravio mapping: How the role is matched to the Ravio taxonomy and leveling system.

  • Relevant benchmark: The specific market target (e.g. 55th percentile in Vienna) used for comparison

Step 3: Adjust compensation views and targets

You can customise the data displayed to match your current needs.

  • Use the Compensation dropdown to switch between base salary, variable data, total cash, or equity.

  • Click the target button in the top right corner to alter the market percentile you are reviewing.
  • Click Apply to see how these changes affect the market difference.

Tip: Changes made to the market target here are not ‘sticky’ and will revert once you leave the page.

Step 4: Filter and segment data

Use filters to isolate specific groups for salary or performance reviews.

  • Use the filters on the left-hand side to segment by role, department, manager, or performance rating.

  • Click on the Market tab within the filters to compare your entire team against a specific location or industry funding stage.

  •  Click the Download button to export your filtered view as a report.
