Features 


1. Position:
Use the “Position” dropdown to select the role you’d like to see data for. Changing the role will change the results shown in the main screen.

Tips

  • Start typing in the “Position” box to find results for a specific role
  • Ravio regularly adds to the list of roles available, as the dataset grows

2. Guide: Select the “Guide” to view more detailed information on each individual role and level.Use the tabs at the top of the guide to view the information in different formats.

3. Location: Ravio covers a range of different locations. The plan you have selected will determine which locations are available to you. Speak to your Customer Success Manager to add new locations to your account.

4. Market filters: Apply filters for Headcount (Small, Midsize, Large), Industry (Technology, E-Commerce, Fintech), and Funding Stage (Early-Stage, Growth, Late Stage). Selection is remembered across pages.

Headcount filter options

We have three options available:

  • Small - Compare your company to companies with under 100 heads
  • Midsize - Compare your company to companies with 100-500 heads
  • Large - Compare your company to companies with over 500 heads

Industry filter options

We have three options available:

  • Technology - Compare your company to all companies in our dataset
  • E-Commerce - Compare your company to E-commerce companies only
  • Fintech - Compare your company to Fintech companies only

Funding stage filter options

We have three options available:

  • Early-Stage - Compare your company to Pre-seed and Seed-stage companies only
  • Growth - Compare your company to Series A & B companies only
  • Late Stage - Compare your company to Series C+ companies only

Tips 

  • If you set a filter on one page, and then navigate to another, your selection will be remembered
  • Filters are only available in countries/cities where we have enough relevant data (the filter option will be greyed out if it’s not available)

5. Target percentile: Select a specific percentile (in 5% increments) to update the results column.

6. Benchmark my company: Use the Benchmark my Company toggle to view aggregated results from your own company, to compare against the role/level combination selected on screen. For example, if you are looking at market benchmarks for Software Engineering, the My Company column on screen will show aggregated salaries for Software Engineers at your own organisation.

7. Currency conversions: If you have access to Ravio in more than one location you can set up currency defaults and exchange rates in your account. You can then toggle between local currency and Company currency on the Explore the Market page, to view results in the currency that is most relevant to you.

Tips 

  • Set up currencies and exchange rates from within your account by going to Settings > Preferences > Currencies & Exchange

9. Downloads: You can choose to download the results from the Explore the Market screen, to use in your own spreadsheets or workflows offline. When you select the Download button, you’ll see a pop-up prompting you to confirm the download.

After hitting confirm, you’ll receive the XLSX download within a couple of seconds.

Tips 

  • The download will reflect any search filters in place at the time. Any keyword searches will not be reflected.

10. Hiring rate trend: 

View hiring rate trends for a particular role by clicking on the “Hiring Rate Trend” icon next to each level.

A popup will appear providing more information on current trends for that role.

  • The Hiring Rate is defined as “New hires relative to current headcount”
  • The Trend shows the percentage change in this rate over the last 90 days, compared to the 90 days before
  • View more information on hiring, attrition, and salary rate trends from the “Live Market Insights” page in your account.

11. Data Confidence: The Data Confidence icon gives you information on the sample size, and data confidence that Ravio attributes to the benchmarking data for each role and level. Click on the Data Confidence symbol to view more information about the size and strength of the dataset.

Tips 

  • For more information on how we evaluate data confidence, open up the explanations at the bottom of the pop-up. This provides more insights into the statistical tests we use, and the way that we monitor real time changes. We also have more detail on our methodology here.

11. Share a benchmark: Share a snapshot of the data from your account with other external users. This could be hiring managers, leadership within the team, recruiters, or others. When you share a benchmark link the user will see a snapshot from Ravio of the specific role and level you have selected.

Tips 

  • Share permanent access to Ravio with your team by going to Settings > Users > Invite User
