Prerequisites
You need to be an Admin in Kallidus / Sapling. If at any point in this connection guide you cannot access a described setting, it is most likely because you don’t have sufficient permissions.
If you are not an Admin please reach out to your Administrator or IT department. They will either be able to update your user or alternatively complete the integration on your behalf.
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1 - Select the correct HRIS in Ravio!
The first step is navigating to the ‘Sapling’ tile in the Ravio onboarding flow. This covers any integrations with URLs ending in “saplingapp.io” or “kallidus-suite.com”.
Step 2 - Enter your subdomain in the connection flow
To find your subdomain, please log into your Sapling instance. Then, look at the address bar in your browser. The URL is either example.kallidus-suite.com or example.saplingapp.io. The subdomain in either case would be “example”.
Step 3 - Create a new API Key for Ravio
First navigate to the Integrations page. This can be opened by navigating to Administration Tools > Integrations.
Next, open the API keys tab at the top of the page:
Press the Create API key button (see bottom right of the image above). In the window that opens, enter a descriptive name for the API key (e.g. Ravio integration) and make sure “Automatically renew the API key when a call is made to that key” is selected.
🚨 If you do not select this checkbox you will have to recreate the API key and reconnect the instance every 90 days.
Step 4 - Enter the API key in the connection flow
Now copy the API key and enter it in the connection flow. Press Set up integration and wait for the confirmation that the connection has been established.
