How to integrate with Officient

A step by step guide detailing how to set up an integration between Ravio and Officient

Introduction

Ravio Non-Standard Data Requirements

Ravio needs ‘Work Location’ (mandatory) and ‘Employee ID’ (optional) to perform our benchmarking services. Both are not part of the standard setup in Officient, so we kindly ask you to create both as a custom field in Officient.

Custom Fields Setup Instructions

Click on the setting wheels in the top right of the home screen, and navigate to Custom Fields in the Settings Menu. This is found under ‘HR Platform’.

Go to ‘Add new custom field’ in the Custom Fields screen. Once complete give the field a descriptive name (e.g. Work Location).

Make sure the Visibility is ‘Visible if Filled In’, and hit continue.

Back on the custom fields screen, navigate to ‘People’ in the banner menu at the top of the screen, and select the employees to add the fields to.

In the screen that appears, click custom fields and add the value for the new custom field that you have created. Do this for every employee that needs this field updating and make sure to save your changes!

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1 - Create application

Click your profile in the top right corner, go to Developers.

Then click on Register a new App and enter a name, and press Create app.

Step 2 - Configure Scopes

Next, configure the scopes for the app.

Select Edit Scopes as seen above, and enter the scopes as prompted in your Ravio connection flow. These can be found in the Ravio Onboarding screen once you have selected Officient as your HRIS provider.

Please see the below image for an example of the scopes you need to provide.

Note: The above screenshot is strictly an example, your Ravio connection flow will show different scopes that you will need to add. Please add the scopes as listed in your Ravio connection flow.

For each permission prompted in your connection flow, find the corresponding permission and enable read or write access, as prompted:

Step 3 - Generate API Access Token

Now, create the API Access Token by clicking Generate access token. Make sure to select the longest possible expiration time as pictured below:

Copy the generated token as pictured below and paste it into the connection flow.

Paste the Access Token into the Ravio onboarding workflow below.
