How to troubleshoot employee locations 

This guide helps you identify why benchmarking data might be missing for certain locations and how to resolve potential integration issues.

Introduction

If you are unable to see benchmarks for specific regions or for your entire company, it is usually due to how data is grouped to ensure quality or an issue with your HRIS (Human Resources Information System) connection.

Before you start

  • Log in to your Ravio account.

  • Have your HRIS or employee data file ready for comparison.

  • Check if you have admin permissions to view benchmarking settings.

Step-by-step troubleshooting

1. Check Ravio’s location mapping

Ravio groups some locations at a more general level (e.g. by country rather than city) to maintain high data quality and provide accurate benchmarks.

Review the table below to see how your input location maps to the Ravio benchmark location:

Note: For many countries – such as Australia, Brazil, and Ireland – Ravio benchmarks at the "All Country" level.

2. Identify potential integration issues

If benchmarks are missing for multiple employees across different locations, or if you cannot see any locations at all, there may be a sync issue with your HRIS.

  • For specific employees: Ensure that the location field in your HRIS is correctly populated and matches one of the inputs Ravio recognises.

  • For all employees: If no locations are appearing, the connection between Ravio and your HR system may require an update to the data mapping.
